Blanket Goes to the Theatre
December 27, 2012
Theatres are cold. They are cold and not cozy at all. Remedy? Blanket. On Friday, a group of friends and I went to see Falsettos at The Chattanooga Ensemble Theatre. Morgan and I shared Blanket all through the show. Snuggled under blanket I can say my ADD did not remind me that I was cold or did I need to adjust my shirt or anything. Under Blanket I was a head attached to a blob. I enjoyed the show so much with my friends. After the show while congratulating the fantastic actors, people commented on Blanket. It’s a clever idea to bring a blanket to a theatre. It is my belief that blankets are going to catch on very soon. Of course this could be called a poncho, a shawl, etc. However, the type of blankets I hope become in-style will not be a snuggie hybrid or anything else with a ridiculously clever name or concept- like a backwards robe that’s extra long. It will not be worn by a dog or a cat, will not be fitted, or even have sleeves. THE BLANKET will be a blob of comfort and warmth that makes everyone feel a little less self conscious and a little more cozy.
*No blanket blob pictures at this time. My sincerest apologies!
